Ed Barton and Tye Smith took first place honors for the second time this season June 27 on a very hot Arkansas River. Their total weight of 17.56 lbs.was good enough for the first place $5,000.00 check. Second place money of $2,600.00 went to Bill Broaddrick & Jack Seawright with their 5 fish weight of 16.79 lbs. 2009 Anglers Of The Year Are Bryan Jennings and Rodney Butcher

The 2009 Angler of the year race came right down to the last tournament with several teams battling for the honor. Bryan Jennings and Rodney Butcher had just enough weight to edge out Rick Mathews and Darren Clinton by just a half pound to claim this years Anglers of the year title. 2009 Championship Lake Eufaula September 26 & 27

135 teams have qualified for the 2009 Championship. Flights will be assigned by order of receipt of entry so get your entry in early. The flights will be flipped on Sunday. Entry fee is $280.00 and entries must be in by 6:30 p.m. on Friday, September 25. We will take entries at the lake on Friday afternoon from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., but not on Saturday morning. There is no dead water time and pre-fishing is allowed. Once you weigh-in Saturday you CAN NOT go back out on the lake and fish any more on Saturday, September 26. If you need to use an alternate for this tournament they must have fished at least one 2009 regular season tournament to be eligible.
